Jill has been a friend to us for over 40 years since she and Mike first came to the North East. We have wonderful shared memories of family life with her; her vibrant enthusiasm for life and people shone through; she was always caring and perceptive. She gave so much to us as friends and also to the local community, both in Longhirst and previously in North Shields. Her love and commitment to children was strongly evident, as a mother but also as a foster mother looking after and caring for children with great needs of their own; Jill gave of herself to them all. We are so sad to have lost a really good friend, a really good person who still had so much to give.
